If you are purely looking for the best golf instructional book, then you would be better off getting your hands on Ben Hogan's 'The Modern Fundamentals of Golf!' as this in my opinion is the best golf books ever written. Having said that, Ben Hogan's 'Power Golf Book' was written in 1948 and is an excellent read.

Just looking at the amazing photos showing all aspects of Hogan's swing before his tragic car accident in 1949 and consequent swing change will astound you. The incredible positions he used to get himself into during the course of his golf swing is completely beyond anyone who doesn't possess his supreme talent!
