Todd
Sones began his career as a PGA pro in 1981 and has been a class A PGA
member since 1983. It was when he moved to Owentsia Club at Lake
Forest, Illinois that he started developing his teaching skills, when
working with Hubby Habjan.
He went on to founder Todd Sones Impact Golf Center in 1997 and became
spokesperson & consultant for the Tommy Armour Golf co.
research and development team between 1998 - 2004. Sones has
instructed many of the very best PGA Golf Tour pro's, including
the likes of Chip Beck, Robert Gomez, Scott McCarron and Steve Jones,
just to name a few, and he also patented the Tri-Fit method of fitting
golf putters in 2003.
Since 1995 Todd Sones had been recognized by Golf Magazine as one of
the top 100 Golf Instructors in America. As well as writing
instructional articles for Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, and appearing
live on Golf Channels Golf Academy multiple times, he has also
published a couple of excellent golf instruction books (detailed
below).
